Afternoon in the Park

Well, today was a rather lazy day... just hanging around the house this morning, then took the boys to school at 12:30. After school (3:25 for Owen and 4:00 for Luke) we went to the park right next to the house. Owen of course picked up a soccer game with some local kids. He was definitely the youngest there, but eager and playing like a champ (he's the skinny little white kid with no shirt on)!

Meanwhile, Luke decided to just hang out in the "play" (what they call parks with playgrounds here). He's trying to learn to do the monkey bars... and this is as far as he gets for now...

He also really likes the swings and the slide and the teeter-totters. Here he is on the swing:

Leave it to Owen to find a toad in the middle of a soccer game! It was hiliarious... he was enthralled of course, but most of the other players could not have cared less. A few came over when Owen called to show them his "sapo".

Luke was the most excited (besides Owen) and got to hold it too!

When it was time for me to make dinner, we all came back to our street and Owen found some more friends to play soccer with there. Luke discovered that one of his classmates lives on our street too - and he invited Luke to come play for a while...
